Water
********IMPORTANT NOTE********
Liquid bleach (Clorox) will go bad or become weaker in 6 to 12 months and will no longer be useful for treating water without proper testing procedures to assure that there is enough chlorine in the treated water (use a pool/spa test kit). For this reason we recommend using pool shock to make small batches of chlorine solution on a regular basis and using that to treat water. Make sure the pool shock is calcium hypochlorite with nothing else added except inert ingredients. We recommend one level TBL. (1/2 oz. by weight) of 70% available chlorine per 12 oz. of water. Use one level TBL + one level tsp. if you are using 50 to 54% available chlorine pool shock (.667 oz. by weight). This will yield a solution that is about 6% bleach (a little stronger than Clorox). We will soon have our own video showing amounts, formulas and testing procedures to guide you in this process. |
